Julie had to say...

I am a simple girl who likes to read but rarely has the time!  I have embraced the audio book concept and love the flexibility it offers.  During the summer when I am camping is about the only time I get to read for pleasure and oh what pleasure it is!

In addition to having a keen interest in literature, I love music (mostly I'm a rock chick), play the trombone in the community band and direct the bell choir for my church.  I live in a rural community 50 miles north of Pittsburgh PA and am close to all my family.  Sometimes that's good and sometimes that's bad...:0)

I love mystery and suspense works.  I'm almost addicted to the Cat Who...  and the Kinsey Millhone series.

November!

Today is November 1, 2007!  The first day of a new month.  With the arrival of a new month, comes the opportunity to begin anew.  What I mean is that, if October was unkind to you, November has the possibility of being better!

This also means that winter is squarely on its way and THAT I do not like.  I am certainly not a fan of winter.  I dread it.  I cry.  I whine.  I wish bad things to it.  But still, it comes.  No matter how hard of a tantrum I throw, the unrelentless season comes.  Stinker!

There is absolutely nothing redeeming about the slippery season, as far as I can see.  It is very cold.  It requires wearing pounds and pounds of clothing...INDOORS!  Let's not even talk about outdoors!  There is ice on the ground AND the road.  I'm not safe to travel by any means other than dog sled!  The sun is neither warm nor inviting in this evil season.  The birds fly away.  The smart animals hybernate and every living plant dies with the exception of evergreens (hardy buggers they are, indeed!).

I ask you...I impore you to give me just one single good reason to like and/or anticipate this changing of the season.  Nope, sorry that "snow is sooooo prettttttttyyyyyy" reason does not cut the mustard.

Someday, when I leave this earth, Heaven will be sunshiney and warm (no cooler than 80 degrees) and there will be an ocean and sand, oh! and let us not forget the cabana boys......

Happy November!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
